The Surgery Department provides services throughout Walter Knox Memorial Hospital, specifically:

• elective surgery
• emergency surgery
• endoscopy
• minor procedures requiring sedation
• obstetrical surgical services
• epidural pain management
• SI Joint injection
• Fluro support to X-ray Department

Circulating, anesthesia, and scrub staff are on call 24 hours per day for emergency needs, including trauma support in the Emergency Room. All staff are Basic Life Support certified with Advanced Life Support certified Registered Nurses.

The Surgery Department is supported by Family and OB Practitioners, a General Surgeon, Podiatrists, a Gynecologist, an Ear Nose and Throat specialist, and Urologists.
